About Transport Auctions of London

Transport Auctions of London is a family business and a professionally-run, specialist auction house (auctioneers and valuers) providing high-quality services to collectors of transport collectables & memorabilia from all over the UK. Uniquely, we specialise in both rail and road - main-line rail, London Underground, buses, trams and trolleybuses.


Founder and Managing Director

Michael Wickham

is himself an enthusiast and collector with some 50 years' knowledge and experience. We are therefore able to offer our sellers a high level of expertise when providing advice and valuations. 


Our Sales

Over 4,000 people subscribe to our sale catalogues

and this gives sellers a strong and broadly-based source of potential buyers for their items. Our auctions are held 3 times a year - February, June & October.


Our Location

Based in Reigate, Surrey

just south of London, our online sales are streamed live across the UK and worldwide. In addition to live bidding on our website and via global auction platform: the-saleroom.com, we also welcome commission and telephone bids submitted on our website or by post.


Our Service Commitment

We value our reputation highly and pride ourselves on the quality and friendliness of our customer service

All enquiries are answered promptly and we willingly give free advice and valuations of items without obligation. (But please don't ask us to value an item you intend to list on eBay or Etsy etc!)

We can often visit you to pick up large collections and/or valuable items. Payments to vendors are made quickly and without fuss after each sale.

We are fully insured for all risks.
