How to Bid

There is a choice of ways to bid in our auctions, all are simple & straightforward

  • Come to the sale, register at the front desk and bid in the room as the sale progresses. Items you win can taken with you as soon as payment has been made.
  • If you can't attend the sale, leave a commission bid with the auctioneer in advance and he will bid on your behalf up to your limit. There is no extra charge for this. Please use this form and email or post it to us in advance of the sale, to arrive latest by the deadline on the form.
  • Bid live on the internet during the auction at the-saleroom.com.  You can the follow the auction as it happens with an audio/visual link. You will need to register there in advance and their additional charge of 3% + VAT on the hammer price will be payable on any lots you win.
  • Arrange with us for a telephone bid. Subject to a minimum bid of £100 per lot. There is no extra charge for this. Please complete this form, email or post it to us in advance of the sale (to arrive latest by the deadline on the form) and we will call you just before your lot(s) come up.

Please be aware that our auction house does not have a despatch department and we do not ship items. Please do not ask as we do not make exceptions. Items not taken away from the saleroom on auction day should be collected, by arrangement, within 7 working days of the sale date from our storeroom in Edenbridge TN8 6HF. If a shipping agent is required to collect, pack and deliver items, buyers may use one of their choice but we recommend Pakkman with whom we work on a regular basis.
